Glenn Lucas French Curve Negative Rake Scraper

The Hamlet Craft Tools Glenn Lucas French Curve Negative Rake Scraper was designed to Glenn's specifications to help you refine and smooth internal curves on bowls and platters. Ground to a dual 33 degree negative rake angle, the scraper is very versatile and user friendly, making it a favourite among Glenn's workshop students.

This fine turning tool, featuring a High Speed Steel blade, combines traditional handcrafting and forging skills with modern heat treatment to deliver the design and edge retention properties demanded by woodturners of today.

The blade is carefully forged, hardened and tempered, and then hardness tested to guarantee edge retention.

The Hamlet Craft Tools Glenn Lucas French Curve Negative Rake Scraper is available in the below sizes:

  • GL1 - 1 3/8" x 3/8" with 16" handle
  • GL1S - 3/4" x 1/4" with 10" handle

The tool has a Hamlet Glenn Lucas brand stained beech handle and features a solid brass ferrule.
