Hamlet Craft Tools Captive Ring Tool
The Hamlet Craft Tools Captive Ring Tool was specifically designed to easily create captive wooden rings on a piece, such as a child’s rattle, curtain rings or bangles on spindle work. Simply present the tool to the work with the leading edge/ horn and produce one side of the ring. Then turn the tool over to produce the other side, and once the cut is complete the ring will be loose.
This fine turning tool, featuring a High Speed Steel blade, combines traditional handcrafting and forging skills with modern heat treatment to deliver the design and edge retention properties demanded by woodturners of today.
The blade is carefully forged, hardened and tempered, and then hardness tested to guarantee edge retention.
The Hamlet Craft Tools Captive Ring Tool is available in the below sizes:
- HCT130 - 1/4" (6mm) with 10" handle
- HCT131 - 3/8" (10mm) with 10" handle
- HCT132 - 1/2" (13mm) with 10" handle
The tool has a Hamlet brand stained beech handle and is finished with a brass ferrule.
