Diamic by Henry Taylor Tools Spindle Roughing Gouge
The Diamic by Henry Taylor Tools Spindle Roughing Gouge is used between centres to take the corners off and shape shallow curves. Used with a slicing cut, it can give an excellent finish akin to that produced by the skew. The gouge is forged to the traditional shape.
This fine turning tool, featuring a High Speed Steel blade, combines traditional handcrafting and forging skills with modern heat treatment and finishing techniques to deliver the design, finish, and edge retention properties demanded by woodturners of today.
The blade is carefully forged, hardened and tempered, and then hardness tested to guarantee edge retention.
