Round Edge Shear Scraper

The Diamic by Henry Taylor Tools Round Edge Shear Scraper allows smooth tool movement along the tool rest and makes it easy to position the tool at the desired shearing angle. Ideal for improving gouge surfaces and removing small ridges or torn grain. Tipped to the shearing angle, this scraper will make a smooth cut producing an excellent surface finish.  

This fine turning tool, featuring a High Speed Steel blade, combines traditional handcrafting and forging skills with modern heat treatment and finishing techniques to deliver the design, finish, and edge retention properties demanded by woodturners of today.

The blade is carefully forged, hardened and tempered, and then hardness tested to guarantee edge retention.

The Diamic by Henry Taylor Tools Round Edge Shear Scraper is available in the below sizes:

  • HS150 - 1" (25mm) Left Hand with 10" handle
  • HS151 - 1" (25mm) Right Hand with 10" handle

The tool has a Henry Taylor Diamic brand stained beech handle and is finished with a brass ferrule.
