Diamic by Henry Taylor Tools Raffan Scraper

The Diamic by Henry Taylor Tools Raffan Scraper was designed by Richard Raffan himself, one of the world's foremost authorities on this craft. This tool is produced from heavy section material, making it safe to use as the thick material does not flex, thus reducing the chance of catches. The curved cutting edge is also less prone to catches and so enhances the versatility and controlled performance of the tool. Raffan uses the scraper to refine the shape of bowls, boxes and other projects.

This fine turning tool, featuring a High Speed Steel blade, combines traditional handcrafting and forging skills with modern heat treatment and finishing techniques to deliver the design, finish, and edge retention properties demanded by woodturners of today.

The blade is carefully forged, hardened and tempered, and then hardness tested to guarantee edge retention.

The Diamic by Henry Taylor Tools Raffan Scraper is available in the below sizes:

• HS64 - 1/2" x 1/4" with 10" handle
  
• HS65 - 3/4" x 3/8" with 10" handle
• HS83 - 1" x 3/8" with 11.5" handle
  
• HS66 - 1 3/8" x 3/8" with 11.5" handle

The tool has a Henry Taylor Diamic brand stained beech handle and is finished with a brass ferrule.
