Diamic by Henry Taylor Tools Radius End Skew Chisel
The Diamic by Henry Taylor Tools Radius End Skew Chisel is used in spindle turning, as well as for cleaning up end grain and vee cuts. The blade cutting edge has been designed with a slight radius curve and the edges of the tool are rounded smooth, allowing the skew to slide smoothly along the rest, while preserving the mass and stability characteristic of the traditional skew chisel. Often regarded as one of the most challenging tools to master, the rounded/rolled edge skew chisel proves to be one of the most versatile once mastered.
This fine turning tool, featuring a High Speed Steel blade, combines traditional handcrafting and forging skills with modern heat treatment and finishing techniques to deliver the design, finish, and edge retention properties demanded by woodturners of today.
The blade is carefully forged, hardened and tempered, and then hardness tested to guarantee edge retention.
