The Diamic by Henry Taylor Tools Ellsworth Superflute Bowl Gouge has the special feature of a side grind which enables roughing and fine cuts to be achieved on bowls. This gouge was developed in conjunction with David Ellsworth - a well known U.S. woodturner.

This fine turning tool, featuring a High Speed Steel blade, combines traditional handcrafting and forging skills with modern heat treatment and finishing techniques to deliver the design, finish, and edge retention properties demanded by woodturners of today.

The blade is carefully forged, hardened and tempered, and then hardness tested to guarantee edge retention.

The Diamic by Henry Taylor Tools Ellsworth Superflute Bowl Gouge is available in the below sizes:

  • HS165 - 1/2" (13mm) with 16" handle - 5/8" Bar Stock

The tool has a Henry Taylor Diamic brand stained beech handle and is finished with a brass ferrule.
