Hamlet Craft Tools Thread Chasing Tools

The Hamlet Craft Tools Thread Chasing Tools are used for chasing (cutting) a thread on a piece. They come in matched pairs: the ‘male’ with its cutting teeth at the end of the blade for threading the outside and the ‘female’ with its cutting teeth at the side for cutting the internal thread.

These fine turning tools, featuring High Speed Steel blades, combine traditional handcrafting and forging skills with modern heat treatment to deliver the design and edge retention properties demanded by woodturners of today.

The blades are carefully forged, hardened and tempered, and then hardness tested to guarantee edge retention.

• HCT206B - Male & Female Pair 18TPI with 6" handles

The tools have Hamlet brand stained beech handles and are finished with brass ferrules.
