Square Hollowing Tool

The Hamlet Craft Tools Square Hollowing Tool is perfectly suited for scraping and hollowing out small vessels such as egg cups, goblets etc. It is made from 1/4" square bar and has a round nose shape at the cutting edge. The bent versions of this tool are ideal for hollowing small turnings by getting in places where a straight tool will not reach.

This fine turning tool, featuring a High Speed Steel blade, combines traditional handcrafting and forging skills with modern heat treatment to deliver the design and edge retention properties demanded by woodturners of today.

The blade is carefully forged, hardened and tempered, and then hardness tested to guarantee edge retention.

The Hamlet Craft Tools Square Hollowing Tool is available in the below sizes:

  • HCT133 - 1/4" (6mm) Straight with 10" handle
  • HCT134 - 1/4" (6mm) Bent 45° with 10" handle
  • HCT135 - 1/4" (6mm) Bent 80° with 10" handle

The tool has a Hamlet brand stained beech handle and is finished with a brass ferrule.
