The Hamlet Craft Tools Spindle Maker overcomes the apprehension inherent with the skew chisel. It has been designed with one flat side, one oval side, and a fingernail end with a single bevel to make producing coves, beads and planing achievable even for the beginner.

This fine turning tool, featuring a High Speed Steel blade, combines traditional handcrafting and forging skills with modern heat treatment to deliver the design and edge retention properties demanded by woodturners of today.

The blade is carefully forged, hardened and tempered, and then hardness tested to guarantee edge retention.

The Hamlet Craft Tools Spindle Maker is available in the below sizes:

  • HCT215 - 1/2" (13mm) with 10" handle
  • HCT216 - 3/4" (20mm) with 10" handle
  • HCT217 - 1" (25mm) with 10" handle

The tool has a Hamlet brand stained beech handle and is finished with a brass ferrule.
