Rolled Edge Skew Chisel

The Hamlet Craft Tools Rolled Edge Skew Chisel is used on spindle work and is an extremely versatile tool, used for planing, cutting beads, V cuts and cleaning end grain. This skew is a combination of the standard skew chisel and rolled edges for steadiness and easy movement on the tool rest with reduced chance of catches or drag.

This fine turning tool, featuring a High Speed Steel blade, combines traditional handcrafting and forging skills with modern heat treatment to deliver the design and edge retention properties demanded by woodturners of today.

The blade is carefully forged, hardened and tempered, and then hardness tested to guarantee edge retention.

The Hamlet Craft Tools Rolled Edge Skew Chisel is available in the below sizes:

  • HCT104 - 1/2" (13mm) with 10" handle
  • HCT105 - 3/4" (12mm) with 10" handle
  • HCT106 - 1" (20mm) with 10" handle
  • HCT107 - 1 1/4" (32mm) with 14" handle

The tool has a Hamlet brand stained beech handle and is finished with a brass ferrule.
