Parting Tool

The Hamlet Craft Tools Parting Tool is specifically designed to separate (part) timber into two pieces, and is also predominantly used to make sizing cuts.

This fine turning tool, featuring a High Speed Steel blade, combines traditional handcrafting and forging skills with modern heat treatment to deliver the design and edge retention properties demanded by woodturners of today.

The blade is carefully forged, hardened and tempered, and then hardness tested to guarantee edge retention.

The Hamlet Craft Tools Parting Tool is available in the below sizes:

  • HCT090 - 1/8" (3mm) with 10" handle
  • HCT091 - 1/4" (6mm) with 10" handle

The tool has a Hamlet brand stained beech handle and is finished with a brass ferrule.
