The Hamlet Craft Tools Glenn Lucas Radius Edge Skew Chisel was designed to Glenn's specifications for planing cuts, detailed work on spindles, and for shaping tenons (spigots). This is Glenn's preferred shape of skew chisel with rolled edges to prevent nicking the tool rest, and a radius cutting edge which is less likely to over heat when sharpening as it is constantly on the move. Once mastered this is one of the best tools for spindle turning you can own.

This fine turning tool, featuring a High Speed Steel blade, combines traditional handcrafting and forging skills with modern heat treatment to deliver the design and edge retention properties demanded by woodturners of today.

The blade is carefully forged, hardened and tempered, and then hardness tested to guarantee edge retention.

The Hamlet Craft Tools Glenn Lucas Radius Edge Skew Chisel is available in the below sizes:

  • GL9 - 1" (25mm) with 10" handle

The tool has a Hamlet Glenn Lucas brand stained beech handle and features a solid brass ferrule.
