The Hamlet Craft Tools Glenn Lucas Heavy Duty Bowl Roughing Gouge was designed to Glenn's specifications for fast, efficient rough shaping of unseasoned wood. The 55 degree, double bevel signature grind and 3/4" diameter shaft with short flute help you get the wood off fast without vibration; while the masterflute parabolic profile prevents clogging and improves chip clearance.

This fine turning tool, featuring a High Speed Steel blade, combines traditional handcrafting and forging skills with modern heat treatment to deliver the design and edge retention properties demanded by woodturners of today.

The blade is carefully forged, hardened and tempered, and then hardness tested to guarantee edge retention.

• GL3 - 5/8" (16mm) with 16" handle - 3/4" Bar Stock

The tool has a Hamlet Glenn Lucas brand stained beech handle and features a solid brass ferrule.
