Alan Lacer Radiused Skew Chisel

The Hamlet Craft Tools Alan Lacer Radiused Skew Chisel was designed by Alan Lacer himself, and features a radius cutting edge, a square edge on the long side and a radius edge on the short side; making it easier to roll beads, while the square edge provides stability.

This fine turning tool, featuring a High Speed Steel blade, combines traditional handcrafting and forging skills with modern heat treatment to deliver the design and edge retention properties demanded by woodturners of today.

The blade is carefully forged, hardened and tempered, and then hardness tested to guarantee edge retention.

The Hamlet Craft Tools Alan Lacer Radiused Skew Chisel is available in the below sizes:

  • HCT460 - 5/8" (16mm) x 3/8" (10mm) with 14" handle
  • HCT461 - 1 3/8" (35mm) x 3/8" (10mm) with 16" handle

The tool has a Hamlet brand stained beech handle and is finished with a brass ferrule.
