The Diamic by Henry Taylor Tools Round Bar Detail Gouge is designed for detailed work, primarily on spindle work. The shallow flute and thick cross section give it stability and make it easy to handle. The gouge is ground with a fingernail grind.

This fine turning tool, featuring a High Speed Steel blade, combines traditional handcrafting and forging skills with modern heat treatment and finishing techniques to deliver the design, finish, and edge retention properties demanded by woodturners of today.

The blade is carefully forged, hardened and tempered, and then hardness tested to guarantee edge retention.

The Diamic by Henry Taylor Tools Round Bar Detail Gouge is available in the below sizes:

  • HS138 - 1/2" (13mm) with 14" handle

The tool has a Henry Taylor Diamic brand stained beech handle and is finished with a brass ferrule.
