The Diamic by Henry Taylor Tools Radius Edge Shear Scraper has a radius point that provides versatility as the shearing cut can be made either way, depending on grain direction. Tipped to the shearing angle, this scraper will make a smooth cut producing an excellent surface finish.
This fine turning tool, featuring a High Speed Steel blade, combines traditional handcrafting and forging skills with modern heat treatment and finishing techniques to deliver the design, finish, and edge retention properties demanded by woodturners of today.
The blade is carefully forged, hardened and tempered, and then hardness tested to guarantee edge retention.
The Diamic by Henry Taylor Tools Radius Edge Shear Scraper is available in the below sizes:
- HS145 - 3/4" (20mm) with 10" handle
The tool has a Henry Taylor Diamic brand stained beech handle and is finished with a brass ferrule.
