The Diamic by Henry Taylor Tools HD Domed Scraper was designed by Peter Child for smoothing and refining bowls and other faceplate work. The heavy-duty scraper dampens vibration, leaving a clean finish, and is safe to use even with a large overhang on the tool rest. Suitable for deep hollowing operations e.g.. large vases & containers.

This fine turning tool, featuring a High Speed Steel blade, combines traditional handcrafting and forging skills with modern heat treatment and finishing techniques to deliver the design, finish, and edge retention properties demanded by woodturners of today.

The blade is carefully forged, hardened and tempered, and then hardness tested to guarantee edge retention.

The Diamic by Henry Taylor Tools HD Domed Scraper is available in the below sizes:

  • HS16 - 1 1/2" x 3/8" with 11.5" handle

The tool has a Henry Taylor Diamic brand stained beech handle and is finished with a brass ferrule.
