The Diamic by Henry Taylor Tools Coving Tool was primarily designed for use with the Henry Taylor Decorating Elf Texturing Tool (HS900), however it is a great tool by itself. This negative rake tool is great for work on end grain, but it can also be used for spindle work. When used with the Decorating Elf tool, it lets you quickly make coves and create areas to place the elf cutter into to create some amazing patterns.

This fine turning tool, featuring a High Speed Steel blade, combines traditional handcrafting and forging skills with modern heat treatment and finishing techniques to deliver the design, finish, and edge retention properties demanded by woodturners of today.

The blade is carefully forged, hardened and tempered, and then hardness tested to guarantee edge retention.

The Diamic by Henry Taylor Tools Coving Tool is available in the below sizes:

  • HS901 - 1/4" with 7" handle

The tool has a Henry Taylor Diamic brand stained beech handle and is finished with a brass ferrule.
